The North Team

Meet the team

We're your North team, here to take care of all cases in this region.

Based locally, our team of friendly mortgage professionals is split into three specialist sections, each dedicated to helping you and your clients through to completion:

  • Group 1 – we receive and review your applications and prepare them for underwriting.
  • Group 2 – we guide you and your cases through the underwriting process.
  • Group 3 – we answer all your questions and keep you fully up to date.

As well as working hard we also like to enjoy time together as a team, and have been on a number of team-building trips, including Go Ape and Alton Towers. We're also big on fundraising, with the 2014 Edinburgh Kiltwalk as one of our achievements, in support of the local Sick Kids Hospital.

Help us to help you

We're always keen to consistently improve the service we offer you, so we’ve included a few tips that should make for a simpler, smoother application:

  • Fully package your cases from the start for a quicker turnaround.
  • Check that retired clients and those approaching their retirement can afford the entire loan based on their annual pension income only.
  • Please don’t send in bank statements unless we request them.

Track individual cases

You can track the progress of an individual case on Virgin Money Online and we also provide you with individual email updates as your client's case progresses.
